Mosaic -
A picture or pattern produced by arranging together small colored pieces of hard material, such as stone, tile, or glass.
Contemporary -
Minimalistic designs that have simple colours.

The art or process of designing the interior decoration of a room or building.
Design -
A plan or drawing produced to show the look and function or workings of a building, garment, or other object before it is built or made.
B) Analyse the Design Brief
This stage of the design cycle involves you undertaking a CAF- Consider All Factors.
When designers are developing designs they take into account consideration of the following factors.
- Function
- Aesthetics
- Ethics
- Environment
FUNCTION
Is the clock suitable for a home? Is it safe and efficient? Is it made of good quality materials?
AESTHETICS
Does the clock look good? Would it appeal to the targeted market? Does it look well made? Is the clock decorated in a stylish way?
ETHICS
Is the clock appropriate for all people of today's society? Will it offend customers? Is the design original?
ENVIRONMENT
Have I wasted any materials? Was everything disposed of correctly and responsibly? Have I used all the materials efficiently?
